Dreamwork

Square

Current body of work in progress, 2022

In my current practice, I am using prints to explore my relationship with sleeping and dreaming. The vivid imagery that appears in my dreams often sticks with me when I am awake, and I am intrigued by how much my sleeping brain can affect my waking mood; sometimes one bad dream can ruin my whole day. In this work, I am considering how I am not entirely in control of my sleep, my dreams, and my sense of “rest.” As I examine how my sleep can influence me, I am also considering how I can influence my sleep, and the creation of a potential relationship between my conscious and dreaming mind.
